Suite Caroline T-Shirts & Stickers

My husband plays bass in the band of a 12 year old country artist, Suite Caroline. She plays guitar and writes all her own songs. We've been hanging out with she and her family more and more in the past few months and they are some of the coolest people we've ever met! I've been working with them to create some new t-shirt designs and these are what we've come up with. The sporty gray one has only been available since the last week of May and we've already had to reorder twice! The other 2 are BRAND new and will be available at the upcoming shows.

I cut the sleeves off my sporty one and braided it into a tank top based on this tutorial. Can't wait to customize the others too!

We're also getting some stickers like this, which will be perfect on our car:

Ashleigh's & Gordo's Wedding

This past weekend we went down to Tampa for a friend of mine's wedding. Oh. My. Gosh. - It was GORGEOUS! The ceremony was right on the water of the bay, in the Safety Harbor Spa pavilion. The sky was all gray and windy and beautiful, like in a story. The wedding dress and bridesmaids' dresses were all designed and sewn by the mother of one of my elementary school friends, Lisa Schauer (She has a boutique in downtown Tarpon Springs). They seriously looked like Vera Wang.

Ashleigh asked me to design a seating chart similar to the one in my own wedding. The girls' dresses were olive green with accents of ivory and light pink, so that was the start. The goal was for guest to find their table number by searching for the letter of their last name. The finished piece was 18 x 24" and displayed in an ornate gold frame on a table at the entrance of the ballroom. It looked very elegant :)

Petal Farms Catalog

When I was working at Budget Printing, I developed a relationship with an amazing (and inspiring!) young woman named Cassi. She has created her own consultant based company (throwing house parties and such) for gardening products. After I left Budget, she tracked me down and asked if I would like to work with her to design her new catalog.Umm... YES!!!!

When it came down to it, it was A LOT of work. There were 250+ products, with accompanying photos, floating freely through the world of an excel spreadsheet. Much categorization was in order. To save money, we didn't want to go above a 36 page booklet. After subtraction the front and back covers and contents page, that left us to fit about 12 products per page. Most catalogs have 3 to 5. Can somebody say ADVENTURE?

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Here is a summary of some of my favorite pages:

I CANNOT wait to have my own house where the entire front yard consists of wildflowers. An herb garden in front of the kitchen window, and a few vegetables growing wherever there's some space. I really should eat more vegetables...

Chelsea's Graduation Announcement

My sister is graduating from High School and College in a little over a month. My mom wants to send out announcements, similar to my own. I cannot believe it has been 3 YEARS since Chelsea and I had a cheesy photo shoot at the park in Autumn Woods trying to get a good "Senior Shot" of me. Instead of copying my announcement (with photos of Chelsea instead of myself), she asked me to whip up something more personalize. She and my dad did their own photo shoot in their new backyard and Voila! It's a 4 x 6 card, and the address and postage will go on the back. (My mom really wanted to include the school logo...whatev.)

Ingrid Michaelson - Girls & Boys

If Ingrid Michaelson's Girls & Boys album is ever pressed on vinyl, this is what I want it to look like:

ingrid- cover
ingrid- back
I blended photographs from two of my favorite flickr photographers, fieryeyed and maplesyruponly. And if your gonna press vinyl, make it colored!

I made an actual hard copy of this (spray painted vinyl and all) to see how it looked, but it's gone and vanished. Sad. I wanted to bring it when I saw Ingrid at the Social but I forgot.

Graduation Party

I just came across the invitation I put together for a joint graduation party for my cousin, a couple friends, and myself. It was emailed out as a PDF because we all decided that was more economical than having them printed and mailed. The theme was movies. There were old movie posters on the walls, cardboard cut outs, bouquets of theatre candy as centerpieces, and a red carpet entry way! Enjoy!

Alisa was "Ryan...Rebecca Ryan". We had recently watched American Dreamer - a family classic. Side note: Alisa isn't literally in the family.
